  1. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our return policy complies with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Customers are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product:

  • Is faulty or defective
  • Is not fit for its intended purpose
  • Does not match its description
  • Fails to meet consumer guarantees

These rights apply regardless of our store policy.

  1. Change‑of‑Mind Returns

We accept change‑of‑mind returns for hydraulic fittings and adapters under these conditions:

  • Returned within 30 days of purchase
  • Item is unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging
  • Proof of purchase is provided
  • Item is a standard stock product (not custom or special‑order)

Change‑of‑mind returns are not required under ACL, but we offer them as a customer service option.

  1. Condition Requirements

To be eligible for a return or refund, fittings and adapters must:

  • Show no signs of installation, tool marks, or pressure testing
  • Be free from contamination (oil, dirt, hydraulic fluid)
  • Include all caps, plugs, labels, and packaging
  • Pass inspection by our quality control team

  1. Non‑Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned unless faulty under ACL:

  • Installed or pressurised fittings or adapters
  • Custom‑made or special‑order parts
  • Hose assemblies built to customer specifications
  • Items damaged due to incorrect installation or misuse
  • Items contaminated with oil or hydraulic fluid

  1. Faulty or Defective Products

If a hydraulic fitting or adapter is faulty:

  • Contact us as soon as possible
  • We will assess the item in line with ACL requirements
  • If the fault is confirmed, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund at no cost

Major failures qualify for a full refund or replacement.
Minor failures may be repaired or replaced.

  1. Incorrect Items Received

If you receive the wrong item:

  • Notify us within 7 days
  • We will arrange return shipping and send the correct item at no cost

  1. Return Process
  • Contact our customer service team to request a Return Authorisation (RA) number.
  • Package the item securely to prevent damage.
  • Clearly mark the RA number on the package.
  • Ship the item using a trackable method.• For change‑of‑mind returns, the customer pays return shipping.
  • For faulty or incorrect items, we cover return shipping.

  1. Refunds & Restocking Fees
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection
  • A 15% restocking fee may apply to change‑of‑mind returns
  • Restocking fees do not apply to faulty or incorrect items under ACL
  • Shipping costs are non‑refundable for change‑of‑mind returns
  • Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days

  1. No Voluntary Warranty Offered
    A&Z Engineering pty Ltd do not provide any voluntary, extended, or additional warranty on hydraulic hoses, fittings, or adapter parts.
    Support is provided only as required under the Australian Consumer Law.

  1. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Correct installation of all hydraulic hoses, fittings, and adapters
  • Ensuring compatibility with their equipment
  • Following all safety procedures and industry standards
  • Preventing contamination, over‑pressurisation, or misuse
